With both teams depleted (Barbarians only fielding 5 skaters) It was going to be a battle of endurance and low scoring. It turned out to be just that with the Barbarians taking a 2-0 away from the game. Eddie Coote showing that he still has the magic between the pipes and recorded his first shut out in his first game!!!!!
Bottesford were the second game of the day and again with a short bench. After a slow start due to fatigue the team really turned the style on a produced some of there best hockey of the season to date. Walking away with a 6-2 win and a 4 point weekend.

A injury to top points score Ben Bradley dampened the spirits with it later been confirmed that he had broken his collar bone after a late and dangerous hit from a Kingston player. This left the squad depleted with 3 major injuries.

As the injury list grew the team reinforced the gaps with David Lloyd and Mark Chambers both players arriving with plenty of energy and focus. They wanting to stamp there claim on regular spots when injured players return.
March was now upon the Barbarians with 4 tricky encounters. First up was Cleckheaton and Salford. Barbarians road there luck and relied on the expertise's of goaltender Eddie Coote who made safe after save from the rapid shooting line ups of both Cleckheaton and Salford. Final scores were 5-3 Barbarians and 6-2 Barbarians. Pushing the team to the top of the division.
A week later saw the team skate out against The Chiefs for the return fixture. Having earlier in the season taken the victory The Chiefs were up for the fight and led 3-1 after some poor defending by the Barbarians. With only minutes to spare the team pulled it back for a 3-3 draw. Thus showing Barbarians battling spirit and a desire to never give up.
