3 Points out of 4 not enough.

Sunday 28th April  2013 vs Vipers & Northumberland Knights

A short benched Barbarians lined up against the bottom of the league Vipers in there first encounter of the afternoon.  An early strike in the first minute set the tone for the Barbarians as they ran out 15-0 winners.  The Vipers to there credit never gave up and we unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions.

The second game against Northumberland Knights was a must win game for the Barbarians as they only had a one point advantage over them in the league but had played two more games.  After a tense first 10 minutes the teams started to settle down and play, with chances at either end.  Barbarians took the lead with a goal from Phil Sanderson.  However it wasn't long until the Knights had draw back level.  A bullet from the half way line from defender Richard Hawk once again sent Barbarians in front but again the Knights came back and equalised.  An unlucky bounce saw the Barbarians trail 3-2 with 7 minutes to go.    With 2 minutes to go the Barbarians called a time out to regroup and push for, first the equaliser and then the game winner.  With 34 seconds to go the equaliser came from Steve Walker.  The Barbarians pushed for a winner in the final seconds and were denied by a great save from the Knights goaltender.  Final score 3-3.

Final games of the season vs Norton & Khaos are on 5th May 2013
