History

Barbarians Inline Hockey Club began life back in 1997 when a group of friends joined Mosborough Mayhem SHC to form their junior team that competed within the BISHA YLASH league. This group of players stayed together for a number of years, playing in both the senior BISHA and BIPHA leagues until it disbanded in 2004. Following a 2 year hiatus, the team was reformed in 2006 by a handful of the original members and renamed Barbarians. Today the squad is made up of 16 players mainly from the South Yorkshire area and trains at the Simply Skate arena in Rotherham.

The team currently plays in the BIPHA Central Senior B league, which has seen a degree of success over the years with the team competing for the league title each season as well as giving a strong showing in the end of season nationals.
